Same Sun The Movie!

Ok, well actually short video. We just filmed a final interview about our work on Same Sun so our filmmaker friend Jay Rudin can get to work putting together a short video about the project. The interview was great because it gave us a chance to look back on our entire experience with the water tank and think about how much we've learned in the process.

Presentation/Discussion at the Pence Gallery

If you or anyone you know is interested in learning more about the water tank project or has any questions about the piece or the process, be sure to come by the Pence Gallery in Davis next Saturday, Nov 19th. Sofia and I will be giving a presentation that takes you through the whole process of creating a 14,000 sq. ft. mural/art installation.
Well, we're down to the last chunk of water tank cake which means this crazy experience is officially coming to a close. The tank is painted, signed, sealed...done. What a wonderful, difficult, exciting, trying, amazing project this has been. To all of you who have supported us through this and have believed in the piece...Tanks a lot!

FINISHED!

Letters Baby!

Ok, this is a really weird experience. To be designing and planning something for so long, and spending so much time looking at this little tiny thing you made, only to see it come together before your eyes on a 14,000 sq. ft. canvas. We started putting up the big letters yesterday and it's really starting to set in. That crazy idea we had to paint the tank in all kinds of abstraction- it's actually happened.
